Carrylite Baggage Transfer Ltd
Carrylite Baggage Transfer Ltd is owned and run by Mark Robinson, a former Royal Air Force Search and Rescue helicopter pilot.
Originally from Yorkshire, Mark studied Psychology at Bradford University before joining the Royal Air Force. After officer and flying training, he gained his wings and was selected to fly the Sea King in the Search and Rescue role. The same helicopter that Prince William was to fly many years later!!
Mark’s first posting was to RAF Lossiemouth in northern Scotland before being posted to RAF Boulmer on the Northumbrian coast in the mid 1980’s.
Mark flew on a variety of missions during his time in the RAF with notable ones being; the Lockerbie and Piper Alpha disasters, flying Her Majesty the Queen Mother from the Castle of May to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and even a poorly porpoise from Northumberland to the Sea Life Centre in Scarborough.
