Carrylite offers a comprehensive service for your baggage between your daily stops, releasing you to walk or ride freely along St Cuthbert’s Way, Borders Abbeys Way, St Oswald’s Way, the Northumberland Coast Path, and the Inn Way to Northumberland, without the burden of a heavy pack.

We can also move your bags along the Sandstone Way and Coast & Castles South cycle routes.

We will collect your bags after you have left to enjoy your day and deliver them to your next chosen place of accommodation, ready for your arrival.

Supported Walks

Carrylite offers a door to door service for your baggage along the following routes:

St Cuthbert’s Way from Melrose in the Scottish borders to Lindisfarne; The Borders Abbeys Way, a circular walking route taking in four 12th Century abbeys in the Scottish Borders;  St Oswald’s Way from Holy Island (Lindisfarne) to Heavenfield; Northumberland Coastal Path from Cresswell to Berwick-Upon-Tweed;    The Inn Way, a circular walking route taking in parts of the stunning Northumberland Coast;  The Sandstone Way a long distance cycling route from Berwick-Upon-Tweed to Hexham and the Coast & Castles South cycle route between Newcastle and Edinburgh.

Carrylite offers a comprehensive baggage transfer service between your daily stops on your chosen route.  There are five walking routes:  St Cuthbert’s Way,  The Borders Abbeys Way,  St Oswald’s Way,  The Inn Way and the Northumberland Coast Path; and two cycle routes, the Sandstone Way and the Coast & Castles South.  We will collect your bags after you have left to enjoy your day and deliver it to your next chosen place of accommodation ready for your arrival.

You’ll be spoilt for choice when choosing one of the routes.  With magnificent scenery, historical interest, stunning coastlines, historic abbeys and houses, thriving towns and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty each of the routes offers a fabulous walking holiday.  Carrylite can help make it that little bit more special by transferring your bags between your daily stops, releasing you to walk freely.

The cost of baggage transfer depends upon your chosen route and your number of bags, but prices start from just £10 per bag, per stage.

Discounts are available for large parties (>10). Please contact us for details.

Costs are per item up to 44lbs (20kgs).

Hi Mark,

I just wanted t thank you and your team for an excellent service whilst I was on the St Cuthbert’s Way walk. The bags were picked up and dropped off at every location just as you said. I was concerned about the first pick up as there was no one in reception. In the end I risked leaving the bag in the reception area and thankfully your guys found it and delivered to Jedburgh. You also got a good mention from Kerry at the Templehall hotel in Morebattle who sang your praises. Lastly your 9.00am pick up was spot on in Wooler. I dropped the bag off at about two or three minutes to 9.00am as I was leaving at that time. Your guy knocked on the door at 9.00am on the dot. Good lesson for all those who think 9.00am is a myth😉.

Can’t believe that I haven’t already told you but…

Many thanks for your excellent service carrying our bags on the Northumberland Coastal Way – everything ran so smoothly and it was fabulous knowing we could pack those extra socks and kit for the evenings without having to break our backs and feet.   Our highlights would be walking the dunes on the way into Bamburgh and taking our boots and socks off to walk across the sand from Lidisfarne.

It helped that the weather was kind with no rain all week.

We’d recommend Carrylite without any reservations at all and have done so a couple of times already.
